De La Espada was founded by a husband-and-wife team in Northern Portugal with the motto “industrial design with a warm heart.” Over the years, the brand has become known for its luxurious materials palette, meticulous joinery and artisanal woodwork. Working with some of the most renowned contemporary designers — including Neri & Hu, Ilse Crawford, Matthew Hilton, Jason Miller, Autoban and Nichetto — De La Espada has produced standout collections with a comprehensive range of seating, lighting and bedding. Their dedicated factory in Portugal specializes in intelligent solid-wood furniture steeped in tradition and innovation.
