Safavieh started out in 1914 as a supplier of antique Oriental rugs in Armenia. Relocating to America in 1978, the brand has since expanded into designing and producing its own products, working with producers in Persia, Tibet, Nepal, China and Pakistan to create rugs that combine the capabilities of each region with modern sensibilities. This expertise and experience has led to collaborations with the likes of Thomas O’Brien, Martha Stewart and Ralph Lauren.
